How to get to Egmont Key
If you want to get to Egmont Key, you have to arrive by boat. The pristine island of Egmont Key is only accessible by watercraft. A variety of ferries and private boat tours offer rides to the island. If you want the best experience of arriving on Egmont Key, take a ride with The Pelican.
The Pelican is the only charter offering service from downtown St. Petersburg (at the St. Pete Pier) to Egmont Key. Plus, our 60-foot passenger boat offers an elevated experience that can’t be compared to other Egmont Key ferries and tours.
The Pelican Egmont Key Boat Tours are $59 per person and $39 per child 12 and under.
The Pelican offers a way for you to get to Egmont Key while enjoying the ride as much as the destination. Tickets include:
Spacious outdoor or indoor seating (no shoulder-to-shoulder seating)
Indoor air-conditioning and two full-size bathrooms
Two-hour round trip to the Egmont Key and back departing from the St. Pete Pier
Two hours of beach time with access to the boat and snorkel gear while on the island
Island music, friendly crew, and opportunity to bring your own drinks and food onboard
The Pelican Egmont Key Boat Tour is a four-hour trip. Relax during a two-hour round-trip ride (one hour there and one hour back) and enjoy two hours of adventure or sunbathing on the island.
